We are into the Winter Season and I haven’t updated in months. But, since it is the end of December I wanted to go ahead and post a few things that happened. Earlier in the winter season, I attended a wreath-making party. It was small, quaint, but a lot of simplified. Sometimes, it’s the small things that make us appreciate life.
Winter comes to LA in strange ways. Ways that you have to notice with care, ways that are very subtle, small changes to the trees, to the air. As humans, we have these cravings for coffee and tea and sweaters, lots and lots of sweaters. No matter how the temperature is. We, oh, our personalities needs seasons whether or not the weather has changed or not. We all have to change, we all have to shift, because if we don’t we get tired. So, we need our sweaters and coffee and the happiness that comes with Autumn and Winter by way of family, friends and community.
And Then, Thanksgiving came.
I’m hoping that all of you had a lovely holiday with your families!
When the farm comes to Los Angeles, I am a joy. You cannot stop me, I will run through hell to find these creatures of God. There is nothing I love more than animals! Thankfully, The Grove had a petting zoo for Autumn and I definitely was happy to go. A day filled with cute animals, banjos and what felt like a city hoe-down, beats traveling all the way back to the midwest of my origin. This way, I can actually shop after making love to these little heart breakers.
