Valentine’s Tea Party! Some people dread the day of Valentine’s, Some can’t wait for Valentine’s but very few people are indifferent towards the day. I am indifferent. I love all of the colors, flowers and sweets. I love seeing stores decorated in cute and chintzy things. It’s a holiday that I suppose I love, but not like most people. It’s not about gifts or feelings or proposals or any of the things that so many want it to be about. I just look at it as a day to have fun, a day to be sweet and a day to have cute things happen. A day to eat a sweet and not feel guilty or bad over doing so. It’s like a naturally occurring cheat day, and who couldn’t use an extra one of those every now and again?
I created a simple but sweet tabl escape made with cake tiers, doilies, flowers. I have most all of these things just laying about my home since these are what make me smile.
I am a girly girl with an emphasis on sweet classic style. I love teacups, stemware, cutlery and dishes! My word, how I love my china! I’m still on the lookout to add the perfect china hutch to my home. Dishes are something I adore and it seems that I continue collecting more more more as each season and Holiday comes and goes. I’m also quite in love with pillars and candles… I am just to much into sweet things in life. If I were an art era, I would be Rococo, plain and simple.
